I'm not quite sure what happened this month or how I only managed to complete one book! That's not very good at all. I finished all the Wardstone Chronicles books that I'd borrowed from the library, but I got some more books out to replace them. I'll have to get my finger out, that's for sure!
Total completed: 14 down, 36 to go.

I've been working my way through The Wardstone Chronicles series this month, and generally I've been reading them on the train to and from Manchester. It's an hour at least each way and as I've made several trips, I've got quite a bit of reading done. I'm certainly on schedule for the amount of books I've read so far this year anyway which is a pleasant change! Total Completed: 13 down, 37 to go

I was away on holiday at the end of January so I wasn't able to post a monthly update. I've had to combine the two months into this one update instead. Not a bad start to the challenge though, let's hope it continues!

This was the last month for the 2008 challenge and as I needed to read 14 books this mornth in order to make the 50 target, it was not looking promising. I'm not sure what I was doing this month instead of reading, but it must have been interesting because I only managed to complete two books in the entire month! 38 down, 12 to go.

I've not done so well this month, especially considering two of the books I've completed have been eBooks and two others only took me an hour each to read! I still haven't started the big thick library book that I borrowed the other month and it's getting close to renewal time again. I'm considering giving it up as a bad job and returning it instead. Only one more month to go and I doubt somehow that I will be able to read 14 books in it! 36 down, 14 to go.

I made the mistake of getting a very thick book from the library which will take some time to work my way through, but I've not actually started reading it yet despite having had it long enough to require renewing twice. I've slacked off a bit on reading before I go to bed but I've still been doing a bit during my dinnertime at work so that's not too bad. I've also got hold of some e-books which are lot quicker to read and that's helping my total quite a bit! 31 down, 29 to go.

I've managed to finish a couple of books this month which is good. As well as doing a bit of reading before I go to bed, I've also been reading at work. I have an hour for my dinner and as that's quite a long time, I'm managing to work my way through several books. It's certainly making my total go up! 25 down, 25 to go.

In the last few days, I seem to have been in quite a reading kind of mood. That's the only way I can explain the fact that I've started three different books in the space of a week. I've not yet finished any of them, but the first one was only thin and I'm close to completing that. I'm still way way way behind on my total though. Ho hum. 21 down, 29 to go.

I went on holiday at the end of May and was away till the beginning of July so my monthly updates kind of went by the wayside! So this is a big three month update.
I had to take Drag King Dreams back to the library unread as I ran out of time to read it before I went away. I didn't get much chance to read while I was on holiday and I've hardly done any since I came back so I'm really behind on my total now. This is week 31 of the year so it's quite dreadful that I'm not even up to 20 books yet! I might have to get through some of the books that are going to be pretty quick reads just to get my total up to something reasonable. 18 down, 32 to go.

This hasn't been a bad month for reading. Although I was off work for two weeks, I somehow managed to not spend a lot of that time reading so I only managed to get three books completed this month. I don't think there's any cause to worry yet though, there's still plenty of time to catch up. 12 down, 38 to go.
